When will you see refractive lens exchange results and how long will they last?
How quickly you see results varies slightly from patient to patient. The majority of patients will be seeing better by the next morning, and by 1 week, almost all patients are happy with their vision. Continued improvements in vision can continue for several weeks after surgery.
Refractive lens exchange should provide a lifetime of visual freedom. Intraocular lens implants are designed and manufactured to extremely high standards and should not cause any significant long-term issues. Unfortunately, other diseases or disorders of the visual system can occur and can affect the quality of vision. Independent of these medical issues, the new lens implant will continue to provide excellent vision.
