“I once helped a patient to see again. They brought in old photographs of their partner who had passed away years before. It was incredibly emotional to see their reaction when they could see their partners face once again.”

Dr. Silvetti performs comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, and low vision consultations. He diagnoses and treats a variety of ocular conditions, and provides pre and post-op care for LASIK and cataract patients.

Dr. Silvetti received his Bachelor of Visual Sciences and Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He completed several externships in primary care optometry, with emphasis on low vision care, ocular pathology and post-surgical evaluation and care. During his post-graduate residency at the Wilkes-Barre Veterans Administration Medical Center, he assisted in the training of optometric interns. Dr. Silvetti is certified by the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Silvetti has been an Associate Investigator in multiple FDA clinical LASIK laser trials.

Dr. Silvetti is the senior optometrist at Memorial Eye Institute for over 20 years.

Dr. Silvetti is an avid martial arts enthusiast and enjoys physical fitness. He enjoys time with his wife and their three dogs. They are both avid sports fans and especially loyal Pittsburgh Steeler fans.

My wait time was minimal and I was pleased to note the furniture arrangement for social distancing and the sanitation practices in progress.
